News: Margate - Nikki Bull Post Match

Today’s game was a repeat of so many of our matches so far this season, a game in which we were on top for long periods and created good opportunities that we did not take and then are punished by switching off and giving away a needless penalty. I always give honest assessments of my team and how we have performed and so far this season our results have not matched our performances. In all of our games this season apart from Hornchurch (away), Harlow (home) and Folkstone (away) where we were comprehensively beaten I feel that we have more then match our opponents and deserved a lot more in terms of the points that we currently have.

I can look at chances that we are not taking and the possession that we have along with all the other stats that we dominate in a game on a regular basis but ultimately the only statistic that counts in football is the result and we are not winning enough games. My staff and players are working extremely hard and we will be back in for training on Monday night to brush ourselves off and go again Wednesday night - we are not far from being a very good side and once the results start backing up our performances we will go from strength to strength. I appreciate the continued support of the fans who once again got behind us yesterday. - Nikki Bull
